The Design Specification is a comprehensive document that outlines all of the factors that will influence the design of a product or system. Its purpose is to serve as a guide for the design team and ensure that the final product meets the needs and requirements of the customer.

Use the Design Specification at the beginning of the design process and should be reviewed and updated throughout the project to ensure that it remains relevant and accurate.

Whats included?

Our Design Specification contains over 170 prompts over 33 Topics, including:

Customer Requirements: The needs and expectations of the customer, including any specific functional or performance requirements. It also outlines any constraints or limitations that may impact the design.

Aesthetics: Describe the desired appearance of the product, including any style or colour preferences. It should also consider the intended use and environment of the product.

Design Life Cycle: Consider the full lifecycle of the product, from development to disposal. It should outline any sustainability or environmental considerations and any requirements for maintenance or repair.
